About Karly Koenig

Born and raised in the Austin, Texas area, Karly has a strong academic foundation, holding both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology from Texas State University. Now a second-year law student at St. Mary’s University School of Law, Karlyis passionate about Property Law, Contract Law, Estate Planning, Business Law, and Administrative Law. She also serves as a staff writer for the St. Mary’s Law Journal.

With a diverse background as a lifeguard, cupcake decorator, server, county switchboard operator, juvenile detention officer, and pawnbroker, Karly truly considers herself a “Jill of all trades.” In the Summer of 2024, she joined Artie Pennington Law Offices, where she has been an enthusiastic and dedicated part of the team ever since. Expected to graduate in May 2026, Karly is excited to continue contributing to the team with Artie, Kim, Hannah, and Bruna for as long as possible.

Outside of work and studies, she enjoys learning new things, reading, drawing, solving puzzles, bike riding, and spending time outdoors—especially when animals are involved.
