About Artie Pennington

Artie Pennington is a founding partner of Artie Pennington Law Offices, PLLC. He specializes in patent licensing and prosecution and assisting clients with probate matters in addition to other matters in the areas of intellectual property law, business law, and estate planning. Artie brings years of experience, a dedicated work ethic, and a passion for always learning new things to the firm.

Prior to the formation of the firm, Artie spent seven years in patent preparation and prosecution, strategic patent portfolio development, assertive and defensive licensing, and litigation support. Much of this work involved supporting fabless startups and large semiconductor companies. This legal experience developed on top of Artie's 21 years working in semiconductor development, design, and consulting; electronic design automation; software development and consulting; and related business management. In addition to working for several semiconductor companies, Artie was fortunate to join Synopsys, a Mountain View, CA based electronic design automation and IP company with offices in Austin TX, in the infancy of the growth of its engineering practice. Prior to joining Synopsys, Artie worked in Motorola's microprocessor design group, designing generations of the 88k and PowerPC family of microprocessors.

Artie also regularly volunteers at the Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas, providing pro-bono legal services across a wide range of legal practice areas to those who are unable to afford them, including eviction and expunction cases.

When Artie isn't assisting his clients with their legal matters, he can be found rock climbing, flying planes, or walking his lovable canine, Bruna.
